The Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation funds key medical research that aims to find a cure for paralysis caused by spinal injuries. The discovery of a cure is something that Perry Cross firmly believes will happen. It’s just a matter of when.

This year the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation has made a challenge from the 7th – 13th of November 2022 called SIP Week, aiming to raise awareness for spinal cord injury.

Here at Molmike we have signed up as a team to take on the SIP week challenge while also raising funds to help find a cure for paralysis.

So what exactly is the Sip Week challenge? SIP Week challenges everyone to drink all of their liquid beverages through a straw, just like those with a spinal cord injury. This challenge is to help people have a better understanding of what it is like for those with a spinal cord injury and to help raise funds to find a cure for paralysis.

A spinal cord injury causes permanent loss of strength, sensation and function below the sight of injury.

Many people suffering with spinal cord injury paralysis have to drink all of their beverages out of a straw as they cannot feel their arms including their hands. This is just one of the many ways someone’s life can change in the blink of an eye due to spinal cord injury paralysis.
